CHANGES TO AUTHORSHIP

If you wish to add, delete or rearrange the authors of your accepted paper:

Before online publication: The corresponding author should contact the Journals Manager, and provide (a) the reason for the change, and (b) the written consent of all co-authors, including the authors being added or removed. Please note that your paper will not be published until the changes have been agreed.

After online publication: Any requests to add, delete, or rearrange author names in an article published in an online issue will follow the same policies as noted above and result in a corrigendum.

PLAGIARISM

AJMC is concerned with the basic rules in ethics of publication and is therefore supporting the law on intellectual property. Every person publishing in AJMC (author, reviewer, guest editor) must accept and respect intellectual property and avoid plagiarism.

The editorial committee will systematically screen the articles received by the editorial team, before sending them to peer review. The aim is to make sure that there is no overlap with other publications. Self-plagiarism will also be considered when authors omit to mention that they use part of previously published texts or material.

In case of plagiarism, the editorial team will contact the author(s) to discuss the case. The aim is to find a solution and avoid plagiarism in the revised version of the text.

In case plagiarism is not perceived by the program before publication, AJMC will first check the facts then apologize to the author who has been copied. Moreover the plagiarism will then be brought to institutional level, and the head of editorial board will contact the head of the institution where the plagiat-author is employed.

SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPT: Authors are kindly advised to read Algerian Journal of Materials Chemistry policy and also the uniform requirements for manuscripts submitted, before submitting their manuscript to Editor-in-Chief or Editors. Authors are encouraged to submit high quality original research work that has not been published or nor under consideration by other journals or conference proceedings elsewhere. ARTICLE STRUCTURE

Style and Format

File format - Manuscript files can be in the following formats: DOC, DOCX or RTF. Microsoft Word documents should not be locked or protected.

Length - Manuscripts can be any length. There are no restrictions on word count, number of figures, or amount of supporting information. We encourage you to present and discuss your findings concisely.

Font - Use any standard font and a standard font size.

Headings - Limit manuscript sections and sub-sections to 3 heading levels. Make sure heading levels are clearly indicated in the manuscript text.

Layout - Manuscript text should be double-spaced. Do not format text in multiple columns.
Page numbers - Include page numbers  in the manuscript file.

Footnotes - Footnotes are not permitted. If your manuscript contains footnotes, move the information into the main text or the reference list, depending on the content.

Language - Manuscripts must be submitted in English.
Abbreviations - Define abbreviations upon first appearance in the text. Do not use non-standard abbreviations unless they appear at least three times in the text. Keep abbreviations to a minimum.
Reference style - Open Science Journal uses “Vancouver” style.
Equations - We recommend using Math Type for display and inline equations, as it will provide the most reliable outcome. If this is not possible, Equation Editor is acceptable.
Avoid using Math Type or Equation Editor to insert single variables (e.g., “a² + b² = c²”), Greek or other symbols (e.g., β, Δ, or ′ [prime]), or mathematical operators (e.g., x, ≥, or ±) in running text. Wherever possible, insert single symbols as normal text with the correct Unicode (hex) values.
Do not use Math Type or Equation Editor for only a portion of an equation. Rather, ensure that the entire equation is included. Avoid “hybrid” inline or display equations, in which part is text and part is Math Type, or part is Math Type and part is Equation Editor.

Manuscript Organization

Manuscripts should be organized as follows. Instructions for each element appear below the list.

  • Title page: List title, authors, and affiliations as first page of manuscript
